Today I am going to tell you about a place which in located in Hailakandi district of Assam.

Being a girl of Assam that to from Cachar. Years back I had visited this place many a times. The place had a charm of its own. A total natural scenic beauty. It is a small township with a few people. A peaceful place to spent your holidays in. Most of the people of this place had their bread and butter from Hindustan paper mill, which was the only paper plant in Barak Valley.
But the actually story starts here. Today when I was passing through this place on train. I saw this place which has already lost its beauty.
The only reason of this situation is the closure of the paper plant which was their way of living. The place which used to be so beautiful has lost everything within a few years
Northeast needs attention towards this situation. Assam is lagging behind in industrial side. Our place has no industry of its own for which most of the youngsters are bound to leave their hometown and move to some unknown place to start their living. Though its true that the state lacks communication but a few steps should be taken by the government for its growing and development.
